The Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Law at Tanjungpura University, hereinafter referred to as BEM FH UNTAN, is the Executive Institution within the Large Family of Students of the Faculty of Law at Tanjungpura University (KBM FH UNTAN), led by a Student President assisted by a Student Vice President, directly elected by the students of FH UNTAN. The governance system of KBM FH UNTAN is presidential, with the Student President serving as both the Head of State and Head of Government. BEM FH UNTAN has a coordination relationship with all Student Organizations of the Faculty of Law at Tanjungpura University (LOK FH UNTAN).
The duties of the Student Council of the Faculty of Law at UNTAN (BEM FH UNTAN) generally involve implementing the statutes and organizational regulations of the Student Council, managing the student organization, executing the work programs that have been developed during one term of administration, and receiving and addressing the aspirations of Law Faculty students as conveyed by the Student Representative Council (DPM FH UNTAN). The authority of BEM FH UNTAN includes creating work programs to be carried out during one term of administration, representing the Student Council in matters related to the executive student body, and collaborating with DPM FH UNTAN to formulate the organization’s stance on issues existing in campus life, as well as those concerning the nation and state. BEM is not merely an organization but a representation of students that bridges the relationship between the campus and the community.
