Prodi Sarjana Hukum Universitas Tanjungpura

(DPM) DEWAN PERWAKILAN MAHASISWA FAKULTAS HUKUM UNIVERSITAS TANJUNGPURA

The Student Representative Council (DPM) of the Faculty of Law, Tanjungpura University (Untan) in Pontianak, is the student legislative body that performs oversight and advocacy functions at the faculty level. Acting as a mini-parliament for the student body, the DPM FH Untan is responsible for supervising the performance of the student executive, namely the Student Executive Board (BEM). They play a crucial role in drafting and establishing organizational regulations, budgets, and overseeing all policies made by the BEM, ensuring they align with student aspirations and needs. The DPM also serves as a bridge between students and the faculty’s authorities, conveying various complaints, suggestions, and constructive ideas from students to advance the faculty.

In addition to its legislative and oversight roles, the DPM FH Untan is actively involved in accommodating and channeling student aspirations.  Through this mechanism, every policy and program that is proposed or implemented is ensured to be relevant and participatory. As a result, the DPM is not just a supervisor, but also a facilitator of democracy among students, fostering an organizational climate that is transparent, accountable, and focused on the common interest.
