The Undergraduate Program of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Tanjungpura, is designed based on a Competency-Based Curriculum. This program aims to produce legal experts who are professional, have competence and skills in the field of legal practice, and have high morality. In this program, students generally require a study period of 4 (four) years or 8 (eight) semesters with a minimum study load of 144 credits (semester credit units) to complete to be declared passed. At the end of the study period, after students have taken a minimum of 110 credits, students must prepare a thesis to be defended before the Undergraduate Thesis Examination Committee. After graduation, the student concerned has the right to hold the academic title Bachelor of Law (S.H.).

 

Every student to graduate and get a Bachelor of Laws (S.H.) degree must complete a minimum of 144 credits. During the study period, student learning performance will be evaluated in midterms, final semester exams, assignments, and practicums. In addition, at the end of the study period, students must complete a thesis which the Thesis Examination Committee will test. Students will generally complete their studies for 4 (four) years or 8 (eight) semesters. With careful planning, students can complete the program within 3.5 (three and a half) years or 7 (seven) semesters. On the other hand, some students may need more time to complete their studies for various reasons. However, all students must complete their studies for a maximum of 7 years or 14 semesters.
